Grape - Vitis vinifera 'Black Hamburg' (Frankenthaler)
One of the best black grape fruit trees, bearing masses of sweet fruit that can be used to make excellent wine. This deciduous plant requires shelter from cold winters and frosts, and it is highly recommended for use in a greenhouse or conservatory only. A protected site where full sun or partial shade is available is also suitable, preferably against a south facing wall. However, when planted outside, it will only fruit after a long, hot summer.
