Prunus incisa 'Kojo-no-mai'

Prunus incisa ‘Kojo-no-mai’ is a deciduous dwarf shrub. Wiry twisted twigs have red buds that bloom into pale pink (eventually turning white) flowers in winter and early spring. Young leaves are pale green turning darker as the plant matures, during autumn the leave change colour to a fiery red/orange.
With its compact habit the Prunus incisa ‘Kojo-no-mai’ makes a great feature plant for small gardens, to give a Japanese effect to a mixed border or even planted in a large container. Position in full sun and plant is moist well draining soil. Add some well rotted organic matter when planting.
