Plum - Prunus domestica 'Czar'
A popular, reliable cropper with excellent colour and flavour that’s mainly for culinary use but also suitable for desserts when fully ripe. Medium-sized, dark purple, oval fruits have yellowish-green flesh with a good, acidic flavour that’s perfect for cooking purposes.

Despite being frost resistant, it’s best trained on a sunny wall to guarantee a good crop of fruit. A very productive, self-fertile deciduous variety that’s ready for picking in early August.

Although it’s self fertile, it can still be used to pollinate other plum trees in.

Pollination group – B

Although self fertile, it will benefit from having a pollination partner nearby, such as:

Plum domestica ‘Marjorie’s Seedling’
Damson insititia ‘Merryweather’
Plum ‘Victoria’
Gage ‘Oullins Gage’
