Picea orientalis 'Aureospicata'
This tall, dramatic spruce has short, deep green needles on its branches which burst with chartreuse growth during the springtime. This gorgeous display remains until mid to late summer, when the spring growth fades into forest green. This tree is the perfect specimen for a focal point feature in any garden. It will grow best in full sun, and is tolerant of clay soil. It prefers sandy, well-drained soil and has a strong pest and disease tolerance. It only needs a little pruning to keep it at its best.
