Beautiful, bright violet-blue blooms with contrasting deep purple centres are produced on remarkably strong, tall, arched flowering stems from June to July. This is a magnificent, highly prized Siberian iris which forms a dense clump of graceful, long, strap-like leaves that stay looking attractive all year round.
When the flowers fade they are followed by ornamental seed pods which help to add interest to the garden throughout autumn and winter. It makes a great perennial for a dry, shaded position, producing excellent cut flowers whose long stems make them perfect for keeping in a vase.
