This beautiful helleborus blooms in mid-winter, adding colour to the garden very early in the season. They bloom in incredibly low temperatures, even amidst snow. However, despite it’s hardiness to cold weather, it still needs protection from harsh winter winds.
The helleborus is tolerant of summer heat and humidity. Avoid contact with plant parts and sap, as it is a known irritant and could upset the stomach if ingested. Cut back flowering stems after bloom to promote new foliage growth.
