Digitalis 'Illumination Apricot'

(Foxglove) Back to Perennials
Digitalis 'Illumination Apricot'

A beautiful, eye-catching orange foxglove closely related to the ‘Illumination Pink’ variety. It grows in attractive spires throughout the summer and autumn months. It has a much longer flowering period becuase it is completely sterile. Its exotic appearance goes beautifully alongside other Digitalis varieties and other tropical-style plants.
Cut back the main flower spires as they fade to encourage a second flowering. Cut back to the ground completely after flowering to promote healthy, vigorous growth. Protect from frost with a thick layer of mulch. As with all varieties of foxglove, the Digitalis ‘Illumination’ is highly toxic, and should not be ingested.
