Cortaderia selloana

(White Pampas Grass)

Back to Grasses

Cortaderia selloana
Majestic, pendulous, fluffy clouds of creamy white plumes are bathed in subtle bronze highlights from August to September on this stunning variety of pampas grass. These flamboyant, ornamental flowers are produced on arching stems, and help to serve as a focal point in a mixed border. It forms a dense mass of long, narrow, evergreen olive-green stems which are ideal for adding architectural flare to the garden. Perfect alongside a pond or in a sunny spot, it is recommended to protect the crown of the plant with mulch in winter.
