Clematis 'Ernest Markham'
This late-flowering, deciduous climber has beautiful magenta leaves with golden anthers appearing amongst the green leaves, creating a gorgeous display. Perfect as a specimen plant, or for covering a fence or railings. It can also be trained to grow up a tree, or over arches and pergolas. They prefer their roots in shade, whilst their ‘heads’ are in the sun, and smaller, low-growing ground cover plants such as ferns or grasses can be used to achieve this.
