(Yellow Trumpet Vine)

Back to Climbers

Campsis radicans f. flava
Campsis radicans is a large, deciduous climber with strongly toothed leaflets and trumpet-shaped flowers which grow up to 8cm and are a deep yellow in colour, growing throughout the late summer and early autumn.

It is native to America and climbs using aerial roots, growing rapidly to its the maximum height that its supports will allow. During the cooler months of the year, the foliage mellows to yellow-green and the beautiful flowers give way to winged seed pods. This vigorous climber is a fast grower, and will make a showy and colourful addition to any garden.
