Ajuga ‘Black Scallop’

Back to Perennials

Ajuga 'Black Scallop'
This is a striking, low maintenance, evergreen groundcover perennial with very dark and glossy, scalloped burgundy foliage and deep blue flower spikes from March to June. It is a large-leaved variety with a short, spreading form that looks stunning when grown in a pot on the patio or used as an accent alongside lighter-coloured plants.

Excellent for planting in groups to provide a colourful matt of groundcover, it’s also great in perennial borders, pots and mixed containers. It is tolerant of a wide range of soils and conditions but displays the best foliage colour when grown in full sun.
