Abies balsamea 'Nana'

(Dwarf Balsam Fir)

Back to Conifers

Abies balsamea 'Nana'
This lovely evergreen conifer is rounded and densely-branched, making it ideal for the rock garden or as a specimen in a container. Unlike many other hardwood plants, conifers do not need a lot of pruning, but dwarf varieties do not actually stay small like many other varieties of plant with ‘dwarf’ characteristics. Dwarf conifers will outgrow their space eventually, though they are incredibly slow growing and can be restricted with pruning and trimming.
