If you’re looking for a great day out then look no further. We have lots for the kids to do this Summer Holiday and a wide range of goodies to grow at home to keep them busy.
If you’re just looking for a morning in the countryside then visit us any day of the week to have a look around and visit our play area and animal attractions.
Once you’ve had lunch in our amazing tearoom there’s lot’s more to do such as explore the animals and find out where they live. We have peacocks, deer, goats and more.
There is always the local wildlife to see as birds, bees and butterflies come to sample our beautiful plants and explore the gardens.
We do have a good range of ‘bug hotels’ if you want to give your local wildlife a home. Insects are a great way to engage children in nature, and ladybirds, lacewings and solitary bees are a gardener’s friend. Encouraging these insects into your garden works as a natural repellent to aphids and greenfly – reducing the need for chemical pest control interventions. We also sell a number of plants and flowers that attract bees and butterflies to your garden.
For those with more green fingers we have a range of seeds for children that are easy to grow and will teach them the fundamentals of growing their own food and flowers. Team them up with a quirky pot and your child can start their very own garden.
For those of you with not a lot of space to grow your own or you would like an inside activity to keep the kids busy then consider making a terrarium or a Fairy garden. Use succulents and low growing plants to create a mini garden inside the house. We sell packs of succulents or our helpful staff can suggest many plants for your Fairy garden.
