Bare Root Pre-order Now Image

It’s nearly that time of year again. We’re expecting to start shipping Bare Root Hedging, Shrubs and Trees again from November 2nd. The start of the Bare Root season is usually busy and we advise you to pre-order now if you want your plants as soon as possible.

Bare root trees and hedging provide a great alternative to containerised plants at a fraction of the cost. So if you’re planting a hedgerow or have a large area to plant then Bare Root is the ideal choice.

Plants are dug fresh from the field and are ready for planting straight to the ground whilst dormant. Some of the most popular hedging choices are Beech, Common Yew and Hawthorn. Choose holly plants if you’re looking for a spiky, impenetrable intruder-proof screen; Sorbus Aucuparia for white flowers and red berries (deciduous); or Box hedging if you want something that’s slow growing, long lived and looks smart when kept well-clipped.

Bare Root season usually lasts until March but with the unpredictability of the weather it could end sooner. Our advice is to order as soon as possible and get planting so you don’t miss out.
